Classes Postponed

Unfortunately I have had to make the drastic decision to cancel all Purity classes. I am hoping we will be able to get something put in place fast, and all be able to carry on teaching from some point next week.

A safety issue has been raised, and until it has been reviewed, I am not happy for any classes to go ahead.

I’m sure lots of you want to know what is going on, but as I do not have answers on how serious this is, then I am not willing to share it. This actually could all amount to nothing, fingers crossed it will. I would rather be safe than sorry. Either way, I think we can get going again next week.

I am not one to ever put my students or teachers under any form of risk that could be avoided.

Got to Dance

What a fantastic start to the New Year, anyone with Sky should be watching Got To Dance! Justine McLucas and Bendy Kate have both succeeded in getting through to the next round with their separate auditions on spinny pole.

Both are phenomenal pole dancers, and have certainly done modern day pole dancing justice. This is a great advert for pole, showing it in it’s true art form.

If this is the first real pole dancing you have ever seen, then please note one major thing…. you do not have to be as bendy as them to be good and enjoy pole. Justine has a ballet background, while Bendy Kate has a gymnast background.

Pole dancing is highly addictive, very sociable and lots of fun.

Success on the first Spinny Pole Routine Workshop!

I was very impressed with how everyone picked up the spinny routine on Thursday. We started the year with a 2 hour workshop. The students had a lovely time, (even though some were a little dizzy when they got home!), they have inspired me to run a spinny course. So I am looking at starting that on a Thursday evening at 8.35pm in Reading.

I am kick starting the New Year with Purity’s first Spinny Pole Routine Workshop. This will be a choreographed routine all on spinny pole. You must be Intermediate level or above to take part in the workshop.

Don’t worry if you get too dizzy, as you can always have your pole on static if need be.

Purity’s 3rd showcase at Hotel de Vie, is set to be bigger than ever. The number of performances has doubled!

Students, Instructors and friends of Purity will be taking part. The interest has been fantastic, and the routines are looking great.

Jessabelle Polesista has been invited back to host the night.

Tickets are very limited, and are only open to those performing first. There is one guest ticket per performer, please let me know if you don’t use it, or if you want more.

If there are any spare tickets they will be open to others not involved in the show. Please let me know if you would like to go on the reserve list.

Tickets are free as it’s Christmas.

Halloween Routine Workshop

For this years halloween routine workshop, one class decided on 2 songs, and mixed them for me. We kept it quiet from most of the other students, it was a fun surprise when we went from Cry Little Sister by Gerard McMann (Lost Boys) into Magic Dance by David Bowie (Labyrinth).

All the videos were done in the Purity Studio in Reading, I put candles out to make it seem spooky!

Purity Party – Sunday 2nd October

We had a pole jam to celebrate 5 years of Purity, the new look studio with the 6th pole, and also the release of digi-pole!

Ruth Hill did a fab performance, demonstrating the moves she had put into her recent grading. Jade McPhee performed on both spinny pole and static to Cry me a River.

My performance was to Clubbed to Death from Matrix, it was a challenge routine, I wrote out all the moves I wanted to include and some of the girls put it together and called them out. I had to make it work as a routine, and I did not know what order the moves were getting shouted out.
